Student of the month: Tatsuya!
We have interviewed our lovely student Tatsuya about his experience in London and at ABC School of English. We have learnt his opinion about the school and the city and we have got to know him better.
Thank you for taking the time to do the interview,
Could you please tell me something about yourself: studies, job, hobbies, and dreams?
I studied chemistry in university and gained a Master’s Degree of Engineering.
After graduation, I worked for a printing company as a quality assurance engineer for a few years in Japan.
I used to play darts in my free time but have never done it since I came to the UK.
I would like to try something new in the future.
Why did you decide to come to London?
That is because I would like to advance my career.
I was just about to look for a new job in Japan.
Meanwhile, I got YMS Visa luckily and thought this was a good chance.
How do you find life in London?
I find it refreshing and enjoy it very much.
English spoken in London is fast and includes various accents, so I am often confused, though.
Why did you choose ABC school?
That is because I am not good at especially listening and would like to improve it.
I learnt Callan Method is good for that and chose ABC school.
What’s your opinion of the Callan Method course?
It is very good training for listening and speaking English without thinking in one’s own language.
What are your plans for the future?
In the short term, my plan is to become able to understand John’s fast English perfectly.
In the long term, I would like to find a job as an engineer related to chemical industry in the UK.
Thank you, Tatsuya! Thank you very much
