Luis Miguel, our student from Spain, was chosen as the student of the month in October. Luis Miguel attends the General English course at the intermediate level (B1).
According to our teacher, Tim "there are those students who understand that humor and personality are key to being a great communication, and Luis is one such student. He studies hard and displays intelligence and character every lesson. We all enjoy talking and interacting with him".
We have interviewed Luis about his experience in London and at ABC School of English. Thank you for taking the time to do the interview Luis, it is so nice to learn more about you.
Could you please tell me something about yourself?
I studied in Spain (Barcelona). After finishing the secondary school I studied mechanics and once finished I worked like a car mechanic for three years. I stopped and I began to work as an electrician until the last year before moving to London. Some hobbies are playing tennis and football, also I like to travel.
Why did you decide to come to London?
I decided to come to London because it's something that I've always wanted to do, not just for learning a new language but also for living the experience. I had the opportunity and I thought it was a good moment.
How do you find life in London?
I'm enjoying the experience, London is an enormous city and you always have things to do although the weather is so different from Spain.
Why did you choose ABC school?
The first time I joined to ABC school was because I was looking for an English school in the center that had good schedules for me, that was the key and the most important thing. After doing a trial lesson and comparing with other school I decided to join ABC because I felt comfortable with the teachers and classmates.
Are you enjoying your lessons?
I've always enjoyed my lessons at ABC School, every day you can learn something new and keep getting better, I'd also say that the teachers are very kind and patient and that's important apart from teaching well.
What are your plans for the future?
Not sure yet about the future, I'd like to stay in London but it's more difficult after Brexit. I'll see what happens and what I can do.
