EVENTS IN APRIL IN LONDON
Good weather is coming to London, as well as the Easter weekend. If you are feeling sporty this is your month: London Marathon and the Oxford/Cambridge boat races are taking place! Find some outdoors suggestions to do over this month and especially during the bank holiday:
Easter Egg Hunts
Easter fans can track down rabbits in royal surroundings, chocolate eggs in city farms and brighten up a dull day at the museum with an egg-based mission. We suggest that you check out the Easter Egg hunts organised by National Trust, so that you have fun while visiting historical buildings in London: National Trust Easter Egg HuntTall Ships Festival
Over the Easter weekend in April 2017, Greenwich will host the start of the Rendez-Vous 2017 Tall Ships Regatta. The regatta will sail from Greenwich to Quebec in Canada, to mark the 150th anniversary of the Canadian Confederation.
The fleet of over 30 large Tall Ships will gather for four days on the River Thames at Greenwich and Woolwich before setting sail for Canada. The ships will be anchored in the Thames alongside two Tall Ships festival villages. These will be located at the Maritime Greenwich UNESCO World Heritage Site in Greenwich town centre, and the Royal Arsenal riverside in Woolwich.

This year the London Marathon takes place on the 23rd of April. It is a charity event starting in Greenwich and finishing at The Mall. A lot of roads will be closed due to the race, so we suggest you check the Virgin Money London Marathon website for more information about the best spots to view the marathon and how to get there.
