Country of the Month: Bahrain
Bahrain - the country of this month. We have interviewed one of our students, Narjes from Bahrain to learn more about her country and her culture.

Bahrain’s traditional food includes fish, meat, rice, and dates. One of the most famous Bahrain dishes is machboos , which is made of meat or fish served with rice. Another well-known food is muhammar which is sweet rice served with dates or sugar.

Bahrain is renowned for its pottery and fishing. Bahrain is on the Asian continent, it is an island country in the Persian Gulf. Bahrain island is the center of an archipelago of 33 islands. The territory is rocky and flat and includes a central plateau. The desert represents 90% of the country and the climate is arid. The national sport of Bahrain is beach soccer and Bahrain is one of the most important countries in the sport of swimming.
