About Our Staff
Daniel Studholme | Administration
Daniel Studholme (DELTA) has been working in the EFL industry here and abroad since 2001. He is passionate about his home city (London) and everything it has to offer, yoga and meditation. He finds helping learners to gain confidence and better memory retention through reflection and meditation very rewarding, and it also helps him to communicate better with the many different people he meets. He is proud of the great team he has here at ABC and feels very lucky to be a part of this vibrant community in the heart of Covent Garden.
Fatima Jama | Administration
Fatima holds a master’s degree in Social Anthropology and an EFL teaching certificate. She joined ABC school as a welfare officer in October 2024. She is responsible for supporting the school’s administration, and for ensuring that students feel well settled both in the classroom and in the community.
John Moran | Teacher
John lives in South London with his wife and two children. He began teaching about 15 years ago after meeting his wife, who is from Brazil. Naturally he is learning Portuguese and is fascinated by Brazilian culture, although he still struggles with Portuguese grammar! His dream is to have his own language school in Salvador, Baha (in northeast Brazil) and spend the evenings on the beach watching the incredible sunsets.
Kunal | Teacher
Kunal is currently studying AI to become fluent in the workings of AI and machine learning, things that are revolutionising the way we live and work. He is a big believer in human potential and has been working on this for many years (from when he worked as a mainstream and then primary teacher, to when he was a specialist in behaviour management to his current role). He loves travelling, trying good food, cooking, playing the piano and learning languages. He is bilingual (English & Bengali) and has some knowledge of French, German, Spanish and Slovak. Kunal also has an affinity with Brazil, as his favourite period of life so far was spending almost a year in Rio de Janeiro
John Dawton | Teacher
John Dawton (CELTA) has been a certified teacher since 2018. Before starting his professional teaching journey, he was a teaching assistant in Austria and a volunteer teacher in Russia. John speaks 5 languages, English, French, German, Russian and Slovene, sings in a Slovene choir, and loves music, songwriting, singing, football and travel, having been to over 30 countries! John is passionate about helping his students improve in a friendly, fun and supportive environment.
Martin Di Maggio | Teacher
Martin Di Maggio was born in Worcester and grew up in Malvern. He has a Masters in Endangered language documentation and description and works with Wikitongues on minority and endangered language maintenance. His family speaks Arberesh, a variety of Albanian from Italy. He also speaks Ladino or Judeo-Spanish, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Sicilian, Albanian, and some Turkish, Hebrew, Persian, Catalan and Romani. Martin loves sci-fi, comedy, travel and cooking.
Natasha Collins | Teacher
Natasha is an experienced TESOL-certified teacher with an MA in Media and Communications Management, an NCTJ in Print Journalism, and a BA in Travel and Tourism Management. After 15 years in media, where she created award-winning projects and innovative content (like podcast series accessible by QR codes), Natasha has returned to teaching with a passion. Fluent in Italian and French, she enjoys fostering engaging, fearless language learning in her students. Outside the classroom, Natasha loves reading, films, and gardening, sharing her passions with family and friends.
Aida Koochaki
Aida Koochaki is passionate about languages, literature, and teaching. She holds a BA in English Language and Literature and an MA in Teaching Persian. In Iran, she worked as both an English teacher and translator, translating several novels from English to Persian. After relocating to London, she pursued an MA in Linguistics, graduating with distinction. In 2023, she completed her CELTA certification with a Pass B. Teaching in multicultural classrooms has enriched her understanding of diverse cultures—a part of the profession she deeply enjoys. She loves exploring different cultures through travel and is also learning French, as languages have always been a passion for her. Aida is a film enthusiast as well, often found at the cinema catching the latest releases.
